BARBARIAN Rugby Shirt

Q1. Why did you purchase it?
I had been looking for a rugby shirt or a knit polo, and when I visited JAM’s store, this piece instantly caught my eye — that’s why I decided to buy it.
Q2. What makes you interested on this item?
This fall, I wanted to wear something with a collar, like a rugby shirt or knit polo. Until last year, I always wore crew-neck sweatshirts, but I’d started to get a bit tired of them. Lately, I’ve been more in the mood for items with some kind of collar detail.
Q3. What convinced you to buy it?
I really liked how the gray base color is paired with calm black, red, and white stripes. Now that I’m in my 30s, I’ve grown to prefer more muted tones. Back in the day, I probably would have gone for bold wide stripes in blue and orange.
Q4. How do you recommend styling it?
Personally, I recommend pairing the rugby shirt with chinos and moccasin shoes.

70s Buffalo Western Boots

・Sweatshirt
I found it at the JAM Umeda Chayamachi store during the EC pop-up event, and I was instantly drawn to the print design — that’s why I decided to get it.
・Western boots
I had never seen this kind of pattern before, and the fact that they’re genuinely vintage despite their standout look really got me.
Q2. What makes you interested on these item?
・Western boots
Western boots have been trending, and I’ve wanted a pair since last year. Classic Western styles tend to look the same on everyone, so I’d been searching for something a bit different — and I finally found a unique pattern that was love at first sight!
Q3. What convinced you to buy them?
The deciding factors were the sweatshirt’s print design and for the Western boots, it was their truly one-of-a-kind pattern that completely won me over.
Q4. How do you recommend styling them?
・Sweatshirt
Since the sweatshirt has a masculine vibe, I like balancing it with feminine pieces like skirts.
・Western boots
Western boots look great as the main statement piece of the outfit, but this year I also recommend letting them peek out subtly from the hem of your bottoms — it feels very on-trend.

ASHLEY Padded Vest

Q1. Why did you purchase it?
I was looking for fall clothing and found this piece at a pop-up event held by a friend’s vintage shop. I thought it was super cute, so I decided to buy it.
Q2. What makes you interested on this item?
Last year, I bought a colorful, pop-style padded vest from Elulu by JAM, so this year I wanted something more simple and in calm, subtle colors.
Q3. What convinced you to buy it?
The perfect fit, the color, and the design — everything felt just right for me!
Q4. How do you recommend styling it?
Since the ribbed knit collar and sleeves are the key design points, I like wearing it simply over a T-shirt or long-sleeve tee to let those details really stand out.

Crockett&Jones Cordovan Penny Loafers

Q1. Why did you purchase it?
I wanted a pair of black loafers that could serve as everyday essential—something versatile enough to work with any style. Whether with casual denim or slightly dressier slacks, I needed a pair that would instantly sharpen my look. I’d been searching for a truly all-around pair like that.
Q2. What makes you interested on this item?
I already owned a few pairs of loafers, but surprisingly, I didn’t have the most classic style of all: the penny loafer. Because it's the original, timeless design that defines the loafer itself, I felt I needed at least one pair as a foundation for my personal style.
Q3. What convinced you to buy it?
First, the fact that they were from Crockett & Jones—a brand I’ve always admired. That alone was more than enough, but when I picked them up, I realized the material was cordovan. At that point, I was almost sold already. Then I checked the size: 8E—my absolute perfect size. And to top it off, the condition was excellent. It truly felt like a fated encounter.
Q4. How do you recommend styling it?
Of course, they pair beautifully with clean, polished outfits. But lately, I’m enjoying wearing them with rugged work pants or painter pants to create a deliberate contrast at the feet. Even if the overall look is casual, slipping on these shoes instantly elevates the entire outfit. I want to highlight the contrast between the refined shine of cordovan and the rough texture of workwear.
