How long have you been into vintage clothing?
It's been about 9 years.
What vintage clothing do you want now?
Right now, I'm focusing on the "shape" of outdoor or surf brand items. Recently, I've been particularly interested in Timberland.
Why do you want this vintage clothing?
While Timberland's icon is the yellow boots, I'm deliberately looking for different "types," like exploring their tops or outer line, preferably from the 90s. So it's quite a struggle to find them. My wardrobe isn't growing at all (laughs).
Do you have any stories about this item?
It's really hard to find, so there are many times when I set out thinking, "Alright, I'm going to find something good today!" but end up just spending hours without success. So when I do come across a good item, the joy is immense, and the desire to take care of it becomes strong. I handle them very carefully. If I were to give one example of careful handling, in summer when clothes get soaked with sweat, right? So I prepare special clothes that are okay to get sweaty for the workplace, wear them to work, and then change into my favorites when I arrive. It's a troublesome habit I continue. Is that really being careful? (laughs)
